Since 2004: The Real Story Behind Our Web Design Experience

From 2004 to today: an old desktop computer and a modern laptop on one desk

Many websites talk about their years of web design experience. It sounds great, but a smart business owner should ask one simple question: can you prove it?

We say MJSteadfast has 22 years of web design behind it. So here is the honest story, with dates, a real domain name and proof you can check yourself.

The timeline, year by year

2004

The first website

Mariam Jamil builds her first website, Life29, a small personal site made with plain HTML. No WordPress, no page builders, just code and patience. See the 2005 copy.

2006

Infinite Designer is born

After a few weeks at a web design company, she knows a job is not for her. She starts her own brand, Infinite Designer, and runs it from home as the owner.

2007

infinitedesigner.com goes live

On 26 February 2007 the domain is registered. The website is designed in Photoshop, cut into slices and built in HTML, with web design and hosting packages for small businesses. The first client comes from simple SMS and email marketing.

2011

A pause

Life asks for a break, and the work stops for a few years. The domain stays alive for a long time after that, because some dreams are hard to let go.

2016

Back to building

After the pause, she builds steadfast.com.pk by hand in HTML. It is her first website in years, and the first time the name Steadfast appears. This website was hers from 2016 to 2018, and then MJSteadfast took its place. (Today that old domain belongs to someone else.) See the 2017 copy.

2018

MJSteadfast begins

With encouragement from her mentors, Steadfast grows into a bigger plan with her initials in front: MJSteadfast, a studio for WordPress websites.

Today

WordPress, Elementor and AI

The same love for design, now with modern tools. AI helps with speed, and every website is still designed and checked by a human.

Our web design experience, then and now

The web changed a lot in these years. Here is how building a website looked then, and how it looks today.

Every page written in HTML by hand
Hosting plans with 100 MB of space
“Best viewed on 800 x 600”
Slow dial-up internet
Today

Designed and built in WordPress with Elementor
AI helps with text, ideas and checks
Fast hosting and speed optimization
Mobile first, for every screen size
SEO ready from day one

Don’t take our word for it

Check the proof yourself

The Wayback Machine is a free internet archive that saves copies of websites over time. It saved our first brand website again and again between 2007 and 2018, and you can see both of its designs: the first one from 2007 and the new look from 2009.

infinitedesigner.com

And after the pause: steadfast.com.pk, the hand-built HTML website she owned from 2016 to 2018 (saved in 2017). Today that domain belongs to someone else, so the archive copy is the real proof.

What this means for your brand

You don’t need decades of experience to build trust. But you do need to be honest about your story. Here are three simple things any brand owner can do:

1

Show dates, not just claims

“Since 2015” with a real story beats “years of experience” with nothing behind it.

2

Keep your proof

Old websites, domain records, first invoices and photos. One day they will tell your story for you.

3

Don’t hide the pauses

Every real business has slow years. Sharing them honestly makes people trust you more, not less.

Experience is not a number on a website. It is a story you can prove.

Today, all those years go into every website we build: a clear message, fast pages and a design that feels like your brand. If you want a website with that kind of care, we would love to hear your story.
